Spinghar Hotel
Re: Spinghar Hotel
Review (by Alice Lopes, May 2024):
As Robert Fisk once wrote, "The Spinghar is a relic of the Afghanistan hippie trail, a high-ceilinged hotel of the 1950s with large rose gardens and tall palm trees which, even in winter, bask in the warmth of the winds coming up from the valley of the Indus".
I can't even put into words my happiness and joy to be able to stay at the Spinghar Hotel.
The Hotel itself was the reason I visited Jalalabad. I stayed there for 2 nights, and I was amazed with the large hall, paintings decorating every wall, as well as the outside area, where you can enjoy tea in the middle of the flowers.
My room had 2 single beds, AC, fridge, TV and western style toilet. Everything decorated in the 50's style.
Wi-Fi;
Free bottled water;
Rooms equipped w/ fridge and AC;
Breakfast is not included, but they have a restaurant (in ground floor) where you can order it for 100 AFN (tea, bread, jam and cream).
