Consulate Termez

Post by Vreni308 »

Applied for a Visa today, normal Visa which will take 5 days costs 80USD, "emergency visa" = same day service for 120USD. Took 3,5 hrs in total but very pleasant procedere though. First we spoke to a man in the office downstairs which asked about our previous travel destinations, where we work, where we want to go, etc. Just the usual questions. Then we had to go to the consul which asked similar questions. Quick and pleasant conversations. He soon welcomed us to Afghanistan and wished a good journey. Then we went to the office again and got some forms to fill out. One with two sides for the visa itself where you will need one passport picture. Two forms with one side each for the road pass. One is in cyrillic but the man in the office kindly helped us and translated. You'll need (besides your normal car information like vin) your engine number and 3 additional passport photos for this.

Took us long because a lot of people were there and we had some waiting times.

On the bank (National Bank of Usbekistan NBU) we needed additional 30 mins.

Consulate in Google Maps is wrong. It's this 37.247393,67.322753

Coordination of the Bank is

Recently shifted to new place:

Here’s the location of the Afghanistan Consulate in Termez (note that they recently moved):
Consulate Location on Google Maps:

It’s best to go early—arrive around 8:45 AM to line up. The consulate opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 4:00 PM. Can also visit just before 4:00 PM then most probably getting visa next day.

Please bring:
• Your passport (with a copy)
• A copy of your Uzbekistan entry stamp
• Two passport-size photos
• The visa application form printed from:

http://econsulate.mfa.gov.af

• draft a letter and signed letter stating your name, occupation, dates and duration of stay in Afghanistan and the places you plan to visit

If you’re unable to fill out the form yourself, we can assist.

Here’s the bank location for the visa fee (note: it closes from 1–2 PM):
