Torkham Gate Closure/Reopening
Afghan Ministry of Defense reported clash between Afghan and Pakistani border forces near Torkham Gate. The confrontation began when Pakistani forces opened fire as Afghan security forces were setting up a checkpoint near the Durand Line, prompting the Afghans to return fire. As a result, the Torkham gate was closed yesterday and there has been no update on when it will reopen.

Torkham gate has reopened and tourists reported receiving their visas from Peshawar consulate within hour today
