Review (by Alice Lopes, May 2024): I stayed at Asil Hotel for 3 nights and I have both positive and negative points do highlight. Positive points:
1) the room was quiet and airy, with a pleasant sunlight streaming through the large window;
2) comfortable bed & clean bedding;
3) the hotel offers Western-style bathrooms with hot water, as well as rooms with Afghan-style bathrooms, allowing you to choose based on availability.
Negative points:
1) the AC from my room didn't have control – it actually was controlled in the reception and it was connected to other rooms;
2) the fridge was not working and
3) breakfast was not served early (I used to leave the hotel at 8 AM and had no sign of breakfast). However, the hotel manager agreed to give me a discount of approx. 130 AFN per night as compensation for missing breakfast.
